Last winter a Lubbock homeless man was not prepared for the harsh freezing temperatures, and as a result, he lost his life. Upon hearing this, our owner, Razonia McClellan, began thinking of ways to help and early this year Operation Blanket Love was born. Our goal is to gather 1,000 donated blankets.
Donations will benefit individuals, as well as a variety of organizations in Lubbock and surrounding areas, including HOPE Community of Shalom and Paul’s Project: Grace Campus (formerly Tent City/High Cotton Genesis Center). Anyone interested in helping the cause by donating a new or gently used blanket, can drop them off at one of the following locations before the first freeze, which is currently slated for November 2, 2016.
